Report: UFC Fight Night Phoenix Brings In Over 1 Million Viewers

This past weekend, MMA fans were treated to UFC Fight Night Phoenix, which featured a six fight main card and four fight preliminary card that aired live on ESPN.

The main card, which was headlined by Francis Ngannou defeating former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez, brought in 1,463,000 viewers according to MMA Fighting. Other fights on the main card saw Paul Felder defeat James Vick, Cynthia Calvillo defeat Cortney Casey, Kron Gracie defeat Alex Caceres, Vicente Luque defeat Bryan Barberena and Andre Fili defeat Myles Jury.

A four fight preliminary card, with Aljamain Sterling defeating Jimmie Rivera in the featured spot, would bring in 988,000 viewers. Other fights on that portion of the preliminary card saw Manny Bermudez defeat Benito Lopez, Andrea Lee defeat Ashlee Evans-Smith and Nik Lentz defeat Scott Holtzman.

Bellator MMA ran a double header this past weekend as well, with Bellator 215 on the Paramount Network and Bellator 216 streaming live on DAZN. Bellator 215 would bring in an average of 365,000 viewers and then another 100,000 viewers via DVR viewership.

Up next for the UFC is UFC Fight Night Prague on Saturday, which features a seven fight preliminary card airing live on ESPN 2, while the main card streams live on ESPN+. Bellator returns this Saturday Night as well with Bellator 217, which will air via tape delay on the Paramount Network.
