Report: UFC Fight Night: Munhoz vs. Edgar Draws Over 800,000 Viewers
A UFC card headlined by Frankie Edgar and Pedro Munhoz drew more than 800,000 viewers.
MMA fans were treated to former UFC lightweight champion Edgar’s bantamweight debut on Saturday’s UFC Fight Night: Munhoz vs. Edgar card. A five-fight main card aired live on ESPN generating 869,000 viewers according to MMA Fighting. The program drew a .32 rating on Saturday Night.
The start of the main card was preempted by an NBA Playoff game, so the main card began on ESPN+, which is where the whole four-fight preliminary card also streamed. There was stiff competition on Saturday Night, as the UFC event went head to head with another NBA Playoff game between the Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder.
Up next for the UFC is UFC Fight Night Vegas 8, which is headlined by Anthony Smith facing Aleksander Rakic and it will stream live this Saturday Night on ESPN+.
