Report: UFC Fight Night Kazakhstan Canceled

Another event bites the dust for the UFC as UFC Fight Night Kazakhstan has reportedly been canceled, as the event was scheduled to take place on June 13.

MMA Fighting first reported the news, citing the ongoing coronavirus pandemic as the cause for the event being canned.

The show was scheduled to be headlined by a bantamweight division bout between Petr Yan and former WSOF Bantamweight Champion Marlon Moraes. There is no word yet on whether or not the fighters will get rebooked for another show or if they will go their separate ways.

Klidson Abreu, who was scheduled to face Gadzhimurad Antigulov at UFC Fight Night Kazakhstan, will now face Jamahal Hill at UFC Fight Night: Woodley vs. Burns on May 23.

There has been no official comment from the UFC at this time as to the cancellation of UFC Fight Night Kazakhstan or what the plans are for those who were competing on that card. Other fights reportedly set for the canceled card included Khadis Ibragimov vs. Roman Dolidze and Jordan Espinosa vs. Zhalgas Zhumagulov.
