Report: UFC Fight Night Boston Brings In Highest UFC Viewership On ESPN 2

This past weekend, MMA fans were treated to a rare Friday Night card from the UFC in the form of UFC Fight Night Boston, which saw Dominick Reyes score a first round knockout win over former UFC Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman in the main event.

MMA Fighting is reporting that the card averaged 805,000 viewers, which is the highest viewership number for a UFC event on ESPN 2. It was the main event fight between Reyes and Weidman that brought in the most viewers, with an average of 1,000,000 viewers checking out that encounter.

There was some top competition going against the UFC Fight Night Boston card, with an episode of WWE Smackdown on Fox, an MLB ALCS baseball game and a pair of NCAA Football games on ESPN and the Big Ten Network.

Up next for the UFC is UFC Fight Night Singapore with Demian Maia and Ben Askren in the main event, but that entire card will stream live on ESPN+. Bellator MMA is back this weekend with Bellator 231 and Bellator 232, with Bellator 231 airing live on the Paramount Network on Friday Night and Bellator 232 streaming live on DAZN on Saturday Night.
