Report: UFC 251 Brought In Over One Million PPV Buys
The show was reportedly a huge success for the promotion, as a report from The Athletic states that the pay-per-view card brought in 1.3 million pay-per-view buys. If the report is accurate, it makes UFC President Dana White’s comments about the show trending higher than a Conor McGregor fight absolutely true.
Other bouts on the main card saw former UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Rose Namajunas defeat former UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Jessica Andrade in their rematch and Amanda Ribas defeat Paige VanZant.
Masvidal, who lost to Usman in the main event, commentated on the buy rate through Twitter:
The overwhelming amount of support I have received before, during, and after this journey has been humbling. Still got a lot of goals to meet. All of you that tuned in to see me win, thank you. Those that tuned in to see me lose, thank you. https://t.co/4SCJzwHV10

There was also an eight fight preliminary card that aired live on ESPN before the pay-per-view, but the viewership hasn’t been revealed yet for that portion of the card.
