Report: UFC 250 Comes In At #2 For Saturday Cable Ratings, But Draws Low Number Overall
A seven fight preliminary card aired live on ESPN before the pay-per-view, with Alex Caceres defeating Chase Hooper in the featured spot, brought in an average of 775,000 viewers according to MMA Fighting. Those prelims brought on a rating of .29, which was second place for ratings on Saturday Night, but the overall number was the second lowest for UFC pay-per-view preliminary cards in 2020. The only show to beat the UFC 250 preliminary card ratings was a CNN/Sesame Street Town Hall event.
Other bouts on the preliminary card saw Ian Heinisch defeat Gerald Meerschaert, Cody Stamann defeat Brian Kelleher, Maki Pitolo defeat Charles Byrd, Alex Perez defeat Jussier Formiga, Devin Clark defeat Alonzo Menifield and Herbert Burns defeat Evan Dunham.
Up next for the UFC is UFC Fight Night: Eye vs. Calvillo, which is headlined by Jessica Eye versus Cynthia Calvillo. The main card will stream live on ESPN+, while the preliminary card will air live on ESPN.
