UFC is reportedly working on the fight for its March 27 pay-per-view, according to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto following an initial report by Ariel Helwani.
Woodley (19-6-1) is on the first losing streak of his professional career: starting with his UFC welterweight title loss to Kamaru Usman, followed by defeats to Gilbert Burns and Colby Covington. He is currently ranked sixth in the division.
Luque (19-7-1) is coming off consecutive finishes of Randy Brown and Niko Price. He sits at number 10 on the welterweight ladder.
Cody Stamann vs. Andrew Ewell at the UFC Apex
A bantamweight clash between Cody Stamann (no. 13) will meet fellow bantamweight Andrew Ewell at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on February 6. BJPenn.com was first to report the fight. The card is headlined by a heavyweight striking battle between Alistair Overeem and Alexander Volkov.
Stamann (19-3-1) is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Jimmie Rivera; meanwhile, Ewell (16-7) is coming off consecutive wins against Irwin Rivera and Jonathan Martinez.
UFC 260 is expected to be headlined by a UFC heavyweight title rematch between champion Stipe Miocic and challenger Francis Ngannou. The co-main event boasts a UFC featherweight championship fight between Alex Volkanovski and Brian Ortega.
