Report: Two More Fights Added To Rizin 14, Gabi Garcia In Action

A pair of bouts have been added to Rizin 14 according to MMA Fighting as Gabi Garcia faces Barbara Nepomuceno and Miyuu Yamamoto faces Mika Nagano.

Garcia (5-0-0-1NC) has won four of five under the Rizin banner, including a victory over former pro wrestling Yumiko Hotta at Rizin 4. Garcia is also returning to Rizin for the first time in over a year, as her last bout in the promotion took place in July of 2017.

Nepomuceno (0-0-0) is going to be making her professional MMA debut and overall MMA debut in this bout, as the fighter has no MMA experience of any kind. Nepomuceno has previously competed as a kickboxer and was last seen in action this past May before suffering a knee injury.

Yamamoto (3-3-0) enters the contest on the strength of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Saori Ishioka and Andy Nguyen. Yamamoto is the sister of MMA legend Kid Yamamoto, who passed away earlier this year after a battle against cancer.

Nagano (16-10-1) is making her Rizin debut in this event, having previously competed in both the DEEP and Jewels promotions. Nagano has picked up sixteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and thirteen of them have come by way of submission.

Rizin 14 takes place on Monday, December 31 from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan with Floyd Mayweather and Tenshin Nasukawa headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
