Report: Titan Fighting Championships Returns On May 29, Gesias Cavalcante Headlining
It appears that the UFC isn’t the only promotion who’ll hold empty arena events because the Titan Fighting Championships will reportedly return on May 29 with Titan FC 60.
MMA Fighting first reported the news, while also reporting that Strikeforce veteran Gesias Cavalcante will headline against Raush Manfio in a grappling match.
Titan FC COO Lex McMahon says the health of the fighters and everybody involved in the event is a top priority for the company.
“While we are excited to return to competition, we have worked hard to ensure the safety of our athletes, staff, and commission officials that will be working the event,” McMahon said. “We have worked on developing our safety plan with the Florida Boxing Commission, State, and local governments. The key components of our plan are: 1) limited numbers in venue, 2) testing, 3) practical social distancing, & 4) emphasis on sanitation.”
Other bouts announced for the show are Ramy Hamed vs. Frank Carrillo, Danny Sabatello vs. Raymond Ramos, Kendly St. Louis vs. Mike Lilly, Sal Guerierro vs. Dany Gonzalez and Gustavo Villamil vs. TBD.
Titan FC 60 takes place on Friday, May 29 from an undisclosed location in Florida with Gesias Cavalcante and Raush Manfio headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
