Report: Tim Means Faces Laureano Staropoli At UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs. Oleinik
A welterweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs. Oleinik as Tim Means faces Laureano Staropoli.
MMA Fighting reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Means (29-12-1-1NC) has won two of his last six under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Ricky Rainey and Thiago Alves. Means has picked up twenty nine wins as a professional MMA fighter and nineteen of them came by way of KO/TKO. Means hasn’t put a winning streak of any kind together in almost five years and the last one lasted for just two bouts.
Staropoli (9-2-0) has won two of three in the UFC, with those victories coming over Hector Aldana and the aforementioned Alves. Staropoli has suffered just two losses as a professional MMA fighter, with those coming to Muslim Salikhov and Alejandro Ezequiel Cosslovsky. Staropoli has competed eleven times as a professional MMA fighter and just three of those bouts went the distance.
UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs. Oleinik takes place on Saturday, August 8 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Derrick Lewis and Aleksei Oleinik headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
