Report: Suman Mokhtarian Faces Seung Woo Choi At UFC Fight Night Busan

A featherweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Busan as Suman Mokhtarian is going to be in action against Seung Woo Choi.

Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA reported the bout, but its place on the card hasn’t been revealed at this time.

Mokhtarian (8-1-0) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, having dropped a bout to Sodiq Yusuff at UFC Fight Night Adelaide. Mokhtarian has competed a total of nine times as a professional MMA fighter and just one of those bouts went the distance. Mokhtarian also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 27, losing in the opening round of the reality show to Ricky Steele.

Choi (7-3-0) is also winless thus far in UFC competition, having dropped bouts to the duo of Movsar Evloev and Gavin Tucker. Choi hasn’t picked up a victory in almost two years, with that last win coming over Jae Woong Kim at Top FC 16 in December of 2017. Choi has picked up seven wins as a professional MMA fighter and five of them came by way of KO/TKO.

UFC Fight Night Busan takes place on Saturday, December 21 from the Sakij Arena in Busan, South Korea with Brian Ortega and Chan Sung Jung headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
