Report: Sergio Pettis Forced to Withdraw From UFC Fight Night Minneapolis

Sergio Pettis’ octagon return has reportedly been delayed, withdrawing from his UFC Fight Night Minneapolis fight against Ricardo Ramos.

Just two weeks before the scheduled fight night, Sergio Pettis next octagon outing has been delayed.

Originally booked to fight Ricardo Ramos at UFC Fight Night Minneapolis, the June 29th date is no longer possible for Pettis, pulling out of the bout for undisclosed reasons. The news was first reported by MMA Junkie. After a mostly successful Flyweight stint that included a split decision win over Joseph Benavidez, Pettis recently returned to Bantamweight, losing on points against Rob Font.

That result made it two consecutive losses for Pettis, dropping three of his last four after previously winning four straight. Pettis will now have to wait before he returns to the win column too, with his bout against Ramos now falling through. ‘Carcacinha’ has yet to receive a replacement after Pettis’ reported withdrawal but enters the event following a loss of his own. Ramos entered the octagon with three straight wins, impressing many upon arrival but most recently being stopped by Said Nurmagomedov.
