Report: Ryan Bader vs. Vadim Nemkov Rebooked For Bellator 244 Main Event

The Bellator MMA Light Heavyweight Title is going to be defended in the main event of Bellator 244 as Ryan Bader puts the gold on the line against Vadim Nemkov.

Bader (27-5-0-1NC) is making the second defense of the light heavyweight gold, last defending it against Linton Vassell at Bellator 186. Bader is also the current Bellator Heavyweight Champion, defeating Fedor Emelianenko at Bellator 214 to win the gold. Bader has picked up twenty seven wins as a professional MMA fighter and twelve of them came by way of KO/TKO.

Nemkov (11-2-0) is undefeated thus far in Bellator MMA competition, defeating Philipe Lins, Liam McGeary, Phil Davis and Rafael Carvalho. Nemkov has suffered two losses as a professional MMA fighter, but he hasn’t been defeated in over four years. Nemkov has competed thirteen times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of those bouts went the distance.

Bellator 244 takes place on Friday, August 21 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Ryan Bader and Vadim Nemkov headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
