Report: Ross Pearson Injured, Off UFC Fight Night Adelaide
Ross Pearson has suffered an injury and has been pulled from UFC Fight Night Adelaide, where he was supposed to fight Joe Duffy.
It was MMA News that first broke the story, but Pearson would address the issue himself via Twitter:
Surgery went well on the read to recovery now a broken nose & deviated septum which I had for a while but closed up my airways so I had a fluid build up behind my sinus & ear drum, not the best timing I was looking forward to fighting the year out with a win not in hospital pic.twitter.com/mMc24ZMStf

There is no word yet on when Pearson is going to return to action, but more should be known as the fighter heals up from the surgery. Duffy is expected to remain on the card at this time, as UFC officials are seeking a replacement opponent for him to fight.
Duffy (16-3-0) is returning to action for the first time in over a year, with his last bout taking place at UFC 217 in November of 2017. Duffy has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter, with two of those losses coming to a pair of UFC veterans in James Vick and Dustin Poirier. Duffy has previously challenged for the Cage Warriors Lightweight Title, losing to then champion Ivan Musardo by fourth round submission at Cage Warriors 44.
UFC Fight Night Adelaide takes place on Saturday, December 1 from the Adelaide Entertainment Centre in Adelaide, Australia with Junior Dos Santos and Tai Tuivasa headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
