Report: Roger Huerta Replaces Goiti Yamauchi At Bellator 205
Goiti Yamauchi has suffered an injury and has been pulled from Bellator 205 according to a report from ESPN, replacing him against Patricky Pitbull is going to be Roger Huerta.
Pitbull (19-8-0) enters the contest on the strength of a three fight winning streak, defeating the trio of Josh Thomson, Ben Henderson and Derek Campos. Pitbull hasn’t suffered a defeat in over two years, with that last loss coming to former Bellator Lightweight Champion Michael Chandler at Bellator 157. Pitbull has suffered a total of eight losses as a professional MMA fighter and more than half of those defeats came by way of decision.
Huerta (24-10-1-1NC) has won just one of four under the Bellator MMA banner, with that lone win coming over Chad Hilton at Bellator 13. Huerta has won two of his last three heading into this encounter, which includes a win over UFC veteran Hayder Hassan. Huerta won six of eight during his time in the UFC, but was cut from the promotion after a two fight losing streak developed.
Bellator 205 takes place on Friday, September 21 from the Century Link Arena in Boise, Idaho with AJ McKee and an opponent to be announced headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
