Report: Rob Font Faces Cody Stamann At UFC Fight Night Greenville
A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Greenville according to Farah Hannoun as #11 Cody Stamann is in action against #12 Rob Font.
Stamann (18-2-0) has won four of five bouts under the UFC banner, last defeating Alejandro Perez by unanimous decision at UFC 235. Stamann is going to be competing on his first Fight Night card, as all the fighter’s previous bouts took place on pay-per-view events. Stamann has picked up eighteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and more than half of those victories came by way of decision.
Font (16-4-0) has rotated wins and losses in his last five UFC appearances, with the latest bout being a unanimous decision win over Sergio Pettis at UFC On Fox 31. Font has suffered four losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of those defeats came to current or former UFC fighters. Font hasn’t competed on a Fight Night card in over three years, with his last such appearance coming at UFC Fight Night 81 in January of 2016.
UFC Fight Night Greenville takes place on Saturday, June 22 from the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina with Renato Moicano and Chan Sung Jung headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
