Report: Philipe Lins Faces Tanner Boser On UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Hooker
A heavyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Hooker as Philipe Lins faces Tanner Boser.
Combate first reported the news, but the bouts spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Lins (14-4-0) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, having dropped a bout to Andrei Arlovski at UFC Fight Night: Smith vs. Teixeira. Lins was the first season PFL Heavyweight Champion, defeating Josh Copeland in the finals to win $1 million. Lins has picked up fourteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them came by way of KO/TKO.
Boser (17-6-1) has won just one of two thus far in the UFC, with that lone win coming over Daniel Spitz at UFC Fight Night Boston. Boser is a former Unified MMA Heavyweight Champion, defeating Jared Kilkenney to win the gold at Unified MMA 37. Boser has suffered six losses as a professional MMA fighter and five of them came by way of decision.
UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Hooker takes place on Saturday, June 27 from a location to be announced with Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
