Report: Phil Davis Faces Vadim Nemkov At Bellator 209
A light heavyweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 209 according to MMA Junkie as Phil Davis is in action against Vadim Nemkov.
Davis (19-4-0-1NC) enters the contest on the strength of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Leo Leite and Linton Vassell. Davis is a former Bellator MMA Light Heavyweight Champion, defeating Liam McGeary to win the gold at Bellator 163. Davis spent just under five years competing in the UFC, earning a record of 9-3-0-1NC in the promotion.
Nemkov (9-2-0) is currently undefeated thus far under the Bellator MMA banner, having defeated the duo of Philipe Lins and Liam McGeary. Nemkov has competed a total of eleven times as a professional MMA fighter and only one of those bouts went to the judge’s scorecards. Nemkov hasn’t suffered a defeat in well over two years, with that last loss coming to Karl Albrektsson via split decision at Rizin 1 in April of 2016.
Bellator 209 takes place on Thursday, November 15 from the Menora Mivtachim Arena in Tel Aviv, Israel with Patricio Pitbull and Emmanuel Sanchez headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
