Report: Paul Redmond Faces Charlie Leary At Bellator 218

A lightweight division bout is the latest addition to Bellator 218 according to MMA Fighting as Paul Redmond is going to be in action against Charlie Leary.

Redmond (14-8-0) is currently undefeated under the Bellator MMA banner, having defeated Sergio De Jesus Santos by unanimous decision at Bellator 187. Redmond also went winless during a two fight stint in the UFC, dropping bouts to the duo of Mirsad Bektic and Robert Whiteford. Redmond is returning to Bellator MMA for the first time in over a year, with his last promotional bout happening in November of 2017.

Leary (15-9-1) is also undefeated thus far in Bellator MMA competition, having beaten Tom Green by second round TKO at Bellator 200. Leary has competed fifteen times as a professional MMA fighter and more than half of his victories have come by way of KO/TKO. Leary also went undefeated as an amateur MMA fighter and all of his wins at that time came by way of KO/TKO.

Bellator 218 takes place on Saturday, February 23 from the 3 Arena in Dublin, Ireland with James Gallagher and Steven Graham headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
