Report: Nick Newell Faces Manny Muro At Bellator 232
A catchweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 232 according to Marc Raimondi of ESPN as Nick Newell is in action against Manny Muro.
Newell (16-2-0) is undefeated thus far under the Bellator MMA banner, having defeated Corey Browning by first round submission at Bellator 225. Newell has previously challenged for the WSOF Lightweight Title, losing to then champion Justin Gaethje at the WSOF 11. Newell also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 14, suffering a unanimous decision loss to Alex Munoz.
Muro (7-6-0) is also undefeated thus far in Bellator MMA competition, having defeated Emmanuel Rivera by unanimous decision at Bellator 184. Muro will enter the fight while in the midst of a three bout losing streak and he hasn’t picked up a win in almost two years. Muro has competed thirteen times as a professional MMA fighter and more than half of those bouts went the distance.
Bellator 232 takes place on Saturday, October 26 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Rory MacDonald and Douglas Lima headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on DAZN.
