Nate Diaz and Leon Edwards will meet in unusual circumstances at UFC 262.
Diaz vs. Edwards will serve as the co-main event for UFC 262, according to ESPN’s Ariel Helwani. The rule was later amended to include title fights and all main events.

Diaz (20-12) has not competed since a TKO (doctor stoppage) loss to Jorge Masvidal for the BMF title at UFC 244 in Madison Square Garden. Edwards (18-3) returned from a 20-month lay-off against Belal Muhammad; however, the fight was stopped in the second round due to an unintentional eye poke.
UFC 262 takes place at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas on Saturday, May 15. The pay-per-view card is headlined by a vacant UFC lightweight title, Charles Oliveira vs. Michael Chandler. The event also boasts Tony Ferguson vs. Beneil Dariush, Shane Burgos vs. Edson Barboza, and Jack Hermansson vs. Edmen Shahbazyan. Keep up with Fightful for all your event-related coverage.
