Report: Mirsad Bektic Faces Dan Ige At February UFC Card
A featherweight division attraction has been added to a yet to be announced UFC card this February as #13 Mirsad Bektic is in action against Dan Ige.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout, but its placement on the card isn’t known at this time.
Bektic (13-2-0) has won two of his last three under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the duo of Godofredo Pepey and Ricardo Lamas. Bektic has suffered two losses as a professional MMA fighter and both came during his time in the UFC. Bektic has seen four of his fifteen professional MMA fights go the distance and the fighter won all of those encounters.
Ige (12-2-0) enters the contest while in the midst of a four fight winning streak, having defeated Mike Santiago, Jordan Griffin, Danny Henry and Kevin Aguilar. Ige competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 3, defeating Luis Gomez by third round submission. Ige has suffered two defeats as a professional MMA fighter and they both came by way of decision.
The yet to be announced UFC card takes place on Saturday, February 8 from a location to be announced with a main event to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, but no broadcast plans have been announced at this time.
