Report: Michael Page Signs New Deal With Bellator MMA
Michael “Venom” Page has already spent over five years competing under the Bellator MMA banner and it would appear that the run isn’t coming to an end anytime soon.
MVP has apparentlyt signed a new, multi-fight deal with Bellator MMA according to Brett Okamoto of ESPN. Okamoto reports that MVP has re-signed with the promotion, but the length of the deal and financial terms were not revealed.
The British slugger has already been announced as one of the ten participants for the Bellator Welterweight Tournament, so the new deal will allow him to fight in the whole tournament if the Brit makes it that far.
Thus far under the Bellator MMA banner, a newly re-signed Page has defeated Ryan Sanders, Ricky Rainey, Nah-Shon Burrell, Rudy Bears, Charlie Ontiveros, Jeremie Holloway, Evangelista Santos, Fernando Gonzalez and David Rickels. MVP was last seen in action earlier this year at Bellator 200, defeating the aforementioned Rickels by second round TKO.
Even though Page has been announced for the upcoming welterweight tournament, no opponent or date for his first round fight has been announced at this time. While Bellator MMA has no public rankings system, Fightful does and Page sets at #2 in our rankings.
