Report: Matt Brown Faces Ben Saunders At UFC 245
A welterweight division attraction has been added to the upcoming UFC 245 card according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal as Matt Brown is going to be in action against Ben Saunders.
Brown (21-16-0) has won just two of his last seven bouts under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Diego Sanchez and Tim Means. Brown is also going to be returning after a two-plus year absence, with his last bout taking place at UFC Fight Night Norfolk in November of 2017. Brown has suffered sixteen losses as a professional MMA fighter and ten of those defeats came by way of submission.
Saunders (22-12-2) has picked up victories in just one of his last six bouts, with that lone win coming over Jake Ellenberger at UFC Fight Night Utica. Saunders hasn’t picked up a victory in well over a year, with that last victory coming in June of 2018. Saunders has had a total of three runs in the UFC, earning an overall record of 9-9-0 in that time.
UFC 245 takes place on Saturday, December 14 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
