Report: Marvin Vettori vs. Karl Roberson Rebooked For June 13 UFC Card
A middleweight division attraction has been rebooked for the June 13 UFC card as Marvin Vettori faces Karl Roberson.
MMA Fighting first reported the news, as the duo were supposed to meet at UFC Fight Night: Smith vs. Teixeira before weight cutting issues caused Roberson to be pulled from the contest.
Vettori (14-4-1) enters the contest while riding a two fight winning streak, with his victories coming over Andrew Sanchez and Cezar Ferreira. Vettori has seen his last six professional MMA fights go the distance and it has been over three years since the fighter got a finish. Vettori has suffered four losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came by way of decision.
Roberson (9-2-0) also enters the contest riding a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Wellington Turman and Roman Kopylov. Roberson competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 3, defeating Ryan Spann by first round knockout. Roberson has suffered two losses as a professional MMA fighter and both of them came by way of submission.
The yet to be announced UFC card takes place on Saturday, June 13 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
