Report: Marlon Vera vs. Frankie Saenz Rescheduled For UFC Fight Night Nashville

A bantamweight division encounter has been rescheduled for UFC Fight Night Nashville according to MMA Junkie as Marlon Vera is in action against Frankie Saenz.

The duo were originally set to meet this past weekend at UFC 235, but Vera pulled out of the bout due to illness.

Vera (12-5-1) enters the contest on the strength of a two fight winning streak, having defeated the duo of Wuliji Buren and Guido Cannetti. Vera hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost a year, with that last loss coming against Douglas Silva De Andrade at UFC Fight Night Belem. Vera has suffered five defeats as a professional MMA fighter and each of them have come by way of decision.

Saenz (13-5-0) enters the bout while in the midst of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Merab Dvalishvili and Enrique Briones. Saenz has seen his last three bouts go the distance and it has been over four years since the fighter got a finish. Saenz has seen ten of his professional MMA bouts go the distance and the competitor has won eight of those encounters.

UFC Fight Night Nashville takes place on Saturday, March 23 from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee with Stephen Thompson and Anthony Pettis headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
