Report: Makwan Amirkhani Faces Danny Henry At UFC 251

A featherweight division attraction has been added to UFC 251 as Makwan Amirkhani faces Danny Henry.

Sportti first reported the bout, which is expected to be a part of the preliminary card.

Amirkhani (15-4-0) has won two of his last four under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Jason Knight and Chris Fishgold. Amirkhani hasn’t picked up a win in over a year, with his last victory coming at UFC Fight Night Stockholm in June of last year. Amirkhani has picked up fifteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and ten of them came by way of submission.

Henry (12-3-0) has won two of three during his UFC tenure, with those wins coming over the duo of Daniel Teymur and Hakeem Dawodu. Henry is making his UFC pay-per-view debut in this bout, despite having been with the promotion for almost three years. Henry has competed a total of fifteen times as a professional MMA fighter and just three of those bouts went the distance.

UFC 251 takes place on Saturday, July 11 from Fight Island in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi with Kamaru Usman and Gilbert Burns headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
