Report: Luigi Vendramini Replaces Belal Muhammad At UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo

Belal Muhammad has suffered an injury and has been pulled from UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo, replacing him against Elizeu Zaleski Dos Santos is going to be Luigi Vendramini.

Muhammad announced that he was out of the fight via Instagram:

 

Dos Santos (19-5-0) enters the contest on the strength of a five fight winning streak, with those victories coming over Omari AkhmedovKeita NakamuraLyman GoodMax Griffin and Sean Strickland. Dos Santos hasn’t suffered a defeat in over three years, with that last loss coming to Nicolas Dalby at UFC Fight Night 67. Dos Santos has suffered a total of five defeats as a professional MMA fighter, but he has yet to be beaten by KO/TKO.

Vendramin (7-0-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted over two years. Vendramin has yet to see any of his professional MMA bouts go the distance and only two bouts have gone past the opening round. Vendramin is also returning to action for the first time in over a year, as Vendramin last competed in August of 2017.

UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo takes place on Saturday, September 22 from the Ibirapeuroa Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil with Jimi Manuwa and Thiago Santos headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
