Report: Lance Gibson Jr. vs. Shane Kruchten Off Bellator 244

Friday Night’s Bellator 244 preliminary card has taken a hit.

A lightweight fight between Lance Gibson Jr. and Shane Kruchten has been pulled from the event. Nolan King of MMA Junkie first reported the news; meanwhile, Sherdog reported the reason behind the cancellation was due to Kruchten not being licensed by the Mohegan Sun athletic commission. There is no word yet on if Bellator officials will reschedule the fight.

The Bellator 244 preliminary card is now scheduled to move on with seven bouts. Erik Perez, Adam Piccolotti, Sidney Outlaw, Josh Hill, Lucas Brennan, Yaroslav Amosov and more scheduled to compete.

Bellator 244 is set for Friday, August 21 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. Ryan Bader and Vadim Nemkov will clash in a Bellator Light Heavyweight title fight. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
