Report: Lance Gibson Jr. Faces Dominic Jones At Bellator 232
A lightweight division battle has been added to Bellator 232 according to Aaron Bronsteter of TSN as Lance Gibson Jr. is going to be in action against Dominic Jones.
Gibson Jr. (2-0-0) is going to be making his Bellator MMA debut in this bout and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted nearly two years. Gibson Jr. is the stepson of Julia Budd, who is the current Bellator MMA Women’s Featherweight Champion. Gibson Jr. is also the son of Lance Gibson, who had competed twice in the UFC during his professional MMA career.
Jones (1-1-0) is also making his Bellator MMA debut in this bout and is also going to be back in action for the first time in over two years. Jones lone win as a professional MMA fighter came at New England Fights 28 in April of 2017, defeating Tollison Lewis by first round TKO. Jones went undefeated during a three fight run as an amateur MMA competitor and all of those wins came by way of decision.
Bellator 232 takes place on Saturday, October 26 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Rory MacDonald and Douglas Lima headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
