Report: Karol Rosa vs. Julia Avila Rebooked For June 13 UFC Card
A women’s bantamweight division attraction has been rebooked for a yet to be announced UFC card on June 13 as Karol Rosa faces Julia Avila.
MMA Fighting first reported the news, as the bout was originally set to happen earlier this year at UFC Fight Night Oklahoma City.
Rosa (12-3-0) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner, having defeated Lara Fritzen Procopio at UFC Fight Night Shenzhen. Rosa will come into the contest riding a three fight winning streak and she hasn’t suffered a defeat in over a year. Rosa has suffered a total of three losses as a professional MMA fighter and one of them came to a UFC veteran in Larissa Pacheco.
Avila (7-1-0) is also undefeated thus far in the UFC, defeating Pannie Kianzad by unanimous decision at UFC 239. Avila has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Marciea Allen at Invicta FC 29. Avila is a former HD MMA Women’s Bantamweight Champion, defeating fellow UFC fighter Nicco Montano to win the gold at HD MMA 7.
The yet to be announced UFC card takes place on Saturday, June 13 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
