Report: Kai Kara France Faces Brandon Royval On September 26 UFC Card

A flyweight division attraction has been added to a yet to be announced UFC card on September 26 as #8 Kai Kara France faces #11 Brandon Royval.

MMA Fighting first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.

France (21-8-0-1NC) has won four of five under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Elias Garcia, Raulian Paiva, Mark De La Rosa and Tyson Nam. France has competed a total of five times in the UFC and all of those bouts went to the judges scorecards. France competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 24, making it to the quarterfinals of the reality show before losing to Alexandre Pantoja.

Royval (11-4-0) is undefeated thus far in UFC competition, defeating Tim Elliott by second round submission at UFC Fight Night: Woodley vs. Burns. Royval also comes into the contest riding a three fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost two years. Royval also had an eight fight stint in the Legacy Fighting Alliance, where he challenged, unsuccessfully for the promotion’s flyweight title.

The yet to be announced UFC card is set for Saturday, September 26 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
