Report: Jordan Espinosa Faces Alex Perez At UFC Fight Night Raleigh
A flyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Raleigh as #10 Jordan Espinosa faces #11 Alex Perez.
MMA Fighting reported the bout, but its placement on the card isn’t known at this time.
Espinosa (14-6-0-1NC) has won just one of two under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Eric Shelton at UFC Fight Night Nashville. Espinosa competed twice on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, defeating Nick Urso on Episode 7 and also defeating Riley Dutro on Episode 12. Espinosa has picked up fourteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and half of those wins came by way of submission.
Perez (22-5-0) has won four of five in the UFC, with those wins coming over Carls John De Tomas, Eric Shelton, Jose Torres and Mark De La Rosa. Perez competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 5, defeating Kevin Gray by first round submission. Perez has competed twenty seven times as a professional MMA fighter and thirteen of those bouts went the distance.
UFC Fight Night Raleigh takes place on Saturday, January 25 from the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina with Curtis Blaydes and Junior Dos Santos headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
