Report: John Lineker vs. Cory Sandhagen Re-Booked For UFC Fight Night Miami

A bantamweight division attraction has been re-booked for UFC Fight Night Miami according to Ariel Helwani of ESPN as #6 John Lineker is in action against Cory Sandhagen.

The bout, which was originally scheduled for UFC Fight Night Brooklyn, was pulled from that event after Lineker suffered a rib injury.

Lineker (31-8-0) enters the contest on the strength of a two fight winning streak, having defeated the duo of Brian Kelleher and Marlon Vera. Lineker hasn’t suffered a defeat in nearly two years, with that last loss coming to UFC Bantamweight Champion TJ Dillashaw at UFC 207. Lineker has suffered eight losses as a professional MMA fighter, with five of those coming by way of decision.

Sandhagen (9-1-0) is currently undefeated in UFC competition, having defeated the duo of Austin Arnett and Iuri Alcantara. Sandhagen has suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came against Jamall Emmers at Legacy Fighting Alliance 5. Sandhagen has seen his last four fights end via some form of finish and the fighter hasn’t gone the distance in almost two years.

UFC Fight Night Miami takes place on Saturday, April 27 from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida with Yoel Romero and Paulo Costa headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
