Report: John Lineker Faces Brian Kelleher At UFC 224

A pair of bantamweights are set to collide this May at UFC 224 according to Combate as #6 John Lineker is going to be in action against Brian Kelleher.

Lineker (30-8-0) has won seven of his last eight fights under the UFC banner, with that defeat coming to UFC Bantamweight Champion TJ Dillashaw at UFC 207. Lineker has seen his last three bouts in the UFC go the distance and it has been almost two years since the Brazilian got a finish. Lineker has earned a total of eleven wins under the UFC banner and eight of those wins are over fighters who are no longer with the promotion.

Kelleher (19-8-0) enters the contest on the strength of a two fight winning streak, last defeating former UFC Bantamweight Champion Renan Barao at UFC On Fox 28. Kelleher has suffered just a single defeat in the UFC thus far and that came to Marlon Vera at UFC On Fox 25. Kelleher has only seen one of his four bouts in the UFC go the distance and that was the aforementioned win over Barao earlier this year.

UFC 224 takes place on Saturday, May 12 from the Jeunesse Arena in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil with Amanda Nunes and Raquel Pennington headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
