Report: John Allan Failed Drug Test In Line With UFC Sacramento

John Allan made his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night Sacramento, defeating Mike Rodriguez by way of unanimous decision

That victory may have come with some added help because MMA Fighting is reporting that Allan failed a United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) issued drug test in line with UFC Fight Night Sacramento.

A representative for the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC), which oversaw the event, revealed to MMA Junkie that Allan failed a drug test for an illegal substance known as tamoxifen.

Allan was actually a short notice replacement for Gian Villante, who was pulled from the event due to injury.

There is no word at this time as to what kind of punishment Allan could be facing for the potentially failed drug test, but a one year suspension and financial penalty may be in order for the fighter. The fighter could also be facing punishments from both USADA and CSAC, as both are able to punish Allan separately instead of jointly.

No comment has been issued by either Allan, a representative or from a UFC official at this time.
