Report: Jeremy Hardy Off Bellator 218, New Fight Added To Main Card
Jeremy Hardy has been injured in a car accident and his bout against Rudy Schaffroth has been pulled from Bellator 218 according to MMA Junkie.
A preliminary card bout between Will Lavine and Norbert Novenyi has been promoted from the preliminary card to the main card.
Lavine (1-1-0) is currently winless under the UFC banner, having dropped a bout to Dominic Garcia by second round submission at Bellator 171. Lavine has picked up a single win as a professional MMA fighter and that came against Zach McGuire at Gladiator Fight Association 12. Lavine is also back in action for the first time in almost two years, with his last bout taking place on June of 2017.
Novenyi (3-0-0) has already fought once in Bellator MMA, defeating Mehmet Yueksel by first round submission at Bellator 196. Novenyi has competed three times as a professional MMA fighter and only one bout has gone past the opening round. Novenyi is back in action for the first time in almost a year, with that last bout happening in June of 2018.
Bellator 218 takes place on Friday, March 22 from the Winstar World Resort & Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma with Emmanuel Sanchez and Georgi Karakhanyan headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
