Report: Humberto Bandenay Faces Gabriel Martinez At UFC Fight Night Chile
A featherweight division attraction is the latest addition to UFC Fight Night Chile according to MMA Fusion as Humberto Bandenay faces Gabriel Benitez.
Bandenay (14-4-0-1NC) is currently undefeated under the UFC banner, defeating Martin Bravo by first round knockout at UFC Fight Night Mexico City. Bandenay enters the contest on the strength of a six fight winning streak and he hasn’t dropped a bout in over two years. Bandenay has suffered four losses as a professional MMA fighter and all four of those losses came by way of submission.
Benitez (20-6-0) has rotated wins and losses in his last five UFC bouts, with the last fight being a unanimous decision win over Jason Knight at UFC Fight Night Fresno. Benitez also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter Latin America 1, making it to the semi-finals before losing to Leonardo Morales. Benitez has seen his last two bouts go the distance and it has been nearly two years since the competitor got a finish.
UFC Fight Night Chile takes place on Saturday, May 19 from the Movistar Arena in Santiago, Chile with Santiago Ponzinibbio and Kamaru Usman headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
