Report: Gina Mazany Gone From The UFC
It would appear that the UFC is down one female bantamweight fighter as Gina Mazany is reportedly gone from the promotion.
MMA Junkie first reported the news, but it is unknown at this time if Mazany was cut or her contract wasn’t renewed by the UFC.
Mazany (5-3-0, 1-3-0 UFC) picked up her lone win in the promotion with a victory over Yanan Wu at UFC Fight Night Shanghai in November of 2017. Mazany exits the promotion while riding a two fight losing streak, having dropped bouts to the duo of Lina Lansberg and Macy Chiasson. Mazany hasn’t picked up a victory in over two years and she hasn’t competed since March of 2019. Mazany also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 18, losing in the opening round of the reality show to Julianna Pena. Mazany has competed a total of eight times as a professional MMA fighter and three of those encounters went the distance.
The former UFC fighter already has a bout booked, as Mazany is fighting Valerie Barney this weekend at King Of The Cage: Golden Fights.
