Report: Erick Silva Injured, Off Bellator 207

UFC veteran Erick Silva’s Bellator MMA debut is going to be delayed for a while because the fighter has suffered an injury according to MMA Junkie and has been pulled from a Bellator Welterweight Tournament alternate bout against Lorenz Larkin at Bellator 207.

Bellator MMA officials are seeking a replacement to fight Larkin, as he is expected to remain on the card at this time. There is no word at this time as to how long Silva is expected to be out of action for or when the fighter can compete again.

Larkin (19-7-0-1NC) has won just one of three under the Bellator MMA banner, with that lone victory coming over Fernando Gonzalez at Bellator 193. Larkin has previously challenged for the Bellator Welterweight Title, losing to then champion Douglas Lima by decision at Bellator 180. Larkin also spent a total of three-plus years competing in the UFC, earning a record of 5-5-0 during that time in the organization.

Bellator 207 takes place on Friday, October 12 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Ryan Bader and Matt Mitrione headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
