Report: Eric Shelton Faces Jordan Espinosa At UFC Fight Night Nashville

A flyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Nashville according to Nolan King of Flo Combat as Eric Shelton is going to be in action against Jordan Espinosa.

Shelton (12-5-0) has won just two of five fights under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the duo of Jenel Lausa and Joseph Morales. Shelton has seen his last five fights go the distance and it has been almost three years since the fighter got a finish. Shelton has suffered five defeats as a professional MMA fighter and all of those losses have come by way of decision.

Espinosa (13-5-0-1NC) is going to be making his UFC debut in this encounter and does so on the strength of a four fight winning streak. Espinosa has competed twice on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, defeating Nick Urso on Episode 7 and defeating Riley Dutro on Episode 12. Espinosa has also suffered five losses as a professional MMA fighter, but he has yet to be beaten by way of KO/TKO.

UFC Fight Night Nashville takes place on Saturday, March 23 from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee with Stephen Thompson and Anthony Pettis headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
