Report: Ed Ruth Faces Jason Jackson At Bellator 231
A welterweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 231 according to MMA Junkie as Ed Ruth is going to be in action against Jason Jackson.
Ruth (7-1-0) has spent his entire professional MMA career competing in Bellator, last defeating UFC veteran Kiichi Kunimoto at Bellator 224. Ruth also competed in the Bellator World Welterweight World Grand Prix, losing in the opening round to Neiman Gracie. Ruth has picked up seven wins as a professional MMA fighter and six of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
Jackson (10-3-0) is undefeated thus far under the Bellator MMA banner, having defeated Jordan Larson by first round TKO at Bellator 204. Jackson is also the current Legacy Fighting Alliance Welterweight Champion, defeating Hemerson De Souza to win the gold at LFA 71. Jackson also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 3, suffering a second round TKO loss to Kyle Stewart.
Bellator 231 takes place on Friday, October 25 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Frank Mir and Roy Nelson headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
