Report: Drakkar Klose Pulled From UFC Fight Night Sacramento
Drakkar Klose was in need of an opponent for UFC Fight Night Sacramento after the withdrawal of Beneil Dariush, but it looks like things have taken another turn for the worse for Klose.
That’s because UFC officials weren’t able to find a suitable replacement for Klose in time for this weekends event, so Klose has been pulled from the card as well.
Klose made the announcement himself via Instagram:
Here is what Klose wrote:
“I would like to inform all my Friends, Family, and Fans who bought tickets to come see me fight in Sacramento, unfortunately I will not be fighting on the card. It’s been a long 24hrs for me and my team. We are hoping to be placed on an upcoming Card soon. I’m sorry again for the inconvenience. We all lost money on this one, I could have potentially walked away with over 100k and now I go home with nothing, but apparently that is part of the game. Thank you for all the support hoping to get back in there soon. PS. Stay in School!!”
There is no word at this time as to whether or not Klose and Dariush will get rescheduled for a future event or if the fighters will go their separate ways.
UFC Fight Night Sacramento takes place on Saturday, July 13 from the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California with Germaine De Randamie and Aspen Ladd headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
