Report: David Branch Collides With Thiago Santos At UFC Fight Night Atlantic City

A middleweight division encounter could be coming to UFC Fight Night Atlantic City according to Farah Hannoun as #8 David Branch faces #15 Thiago Santos.

Branch (21-4-0) has won just one of two fights in his second run with the UFC, with that lone win coming over Krzysztof Jotko at UFC 211. Branch was also the first and only WSOF Light Heavyweight Champion and WSOF Middleweight Champion, defeating Jesse Taylor and Teddy Holder to win both belts. Branch won two of four fights in his initial UFC run, with those two wins coming over Rich Attonito and Tomasz Drwal.

Santos (17-5-0) enters the bout on the strength of a four fight winning streak, with all four victories coming by KO/TKO. Santos hasn’t seen one of his fights go the distance in over two years, with the last one to do so coming against Elias Theodorou at UFC Fight Night 80. Santos has already competed once in 2018, defeating Anthony Smith by second round TKO at UFC Fight Night Belem.

UFC Fight Night Atlantic City takes place on Saturday, April 21 from the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
