Report: Cortney Casey Replaces Alexa Grasso At UFC Fight Night Lincoln

It didn’t take long for somebody to step up and replace the injured Alexa Grasso, as Cortney Casey will step in on short notice to fight Angela Hill according to MMA Fighting.

Casey (7-6-0) enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight losing streak, having dropped bouts to the duo of Felice Herrig and Michelle Waterson. Casey hasn’t picked up a victory in over a year, with that last win coming over Jessica Aguilar at UFC 211. Casey has seen her last four fights go the distance and it has been over two years since the fighter got a finish.

Hill (8-4-0) has won two of four in her second run with the UFC, with those victories coming over the duo of Ashley Yoder and Maryna Moroz. Hill is also a former Invicta FC Strawweight Champion, defeating Livia Renata Souza by unanimous decision at Invicta FC 17 to claim the gold. Hill also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 20, losing in the opening round of the reality show to Carla Esparza.

UFC Fight Night Lincoln takes place on Saturday, August 25 from the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska with Justin Gaethje and James Vick headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
