Report: Corey Anderson Battles Patrick Cummins At UFC Fight Night Atlantic City
A battle of top 15 light heavyweights is possibly coming to the UFC Fight Night Atlantic City card according to Farah Hannoun as #8 Corey Anderson faces #10 Patrick Cummins.
Anderson (9-4-0) has won just one of his last four under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Sean O’Connell at UFC Fight Night 102. Anderson hasn’t earned a victory in well over a year as the win over O’Connell came in December of 2016. Anderson also won the UFC Ultimate Fighter 19, defeating Matt Van Buren in the finals of the reality show.
Cummins (10-4-0) enters the bout riding a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Jan Blachowicz and Gian Villante. Cummins has seen his last two bouts go the distance and it has been almost two years since the fighter saw one of his fights end with a finish. Cummins never went past the first round in all of his bouts before coming to the UFC and that includes an appearance with the Strikeforce promotion.
UFC Fight Night Atlantic City takes place on Saturday, April 21 from the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
