Report: Charles Rosa Faces Dan Ige At UFC 220
A featherweight division attraction may be on its way to the UFC 220 card as Charles Rosa is taking on Dan Ige.
Farah Hannoun first reported the potential bout.
Rosa (11-3-0) has rotated wins and losses under the UFC banner, with his last bout being a loss to Shane Burgos at UFC 210. Rosa has also seen three of his five fights in the UFC go the distance and the fighter has a record of 1-2-0 in those bouts. Rosa has also competed in the CES MMA promotion, earning all of his wins in the company via a first round finish.
Ige (8-1-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and does so on the strength of a six fight winning streak. Ige did compete on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 3, defeating Luis Gomez by third round submission. Ige’s lone loss as a professional MMA fighter came at Pancrase 272 in November 2015 and that defeat came to Taichi Nakajima.
UFC 220 takes place on Saturday, January 20 from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts with Stipe Miocic and Francis Ngannou headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
