Report: Carlos Felipe Replaces Ben Sosoli At UFC Fight Night: Holm vs. Aldana

Ben Sosoli has been pulled from UFC Fight Night: Holm vs. Aldana, replacing him against Yorgan De Castro is Carlos Felipe.

Raphael Marinho of Combate first reported the news, but no reason was given for Sosoli’s withdrawal.

De Castro (6-1-0) is coming off of his first professional MMA defeat, which came to Greg Hardy at UFC 249. De Castro has picked up a single win in UFC competition and that came against Justin Tafa via first round knockout at UFC 243. De Castro has picked up six wins as a professional MMA fighter and five of them came by way of KO/TKO.

Felipe (8-1-0) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, with that loss coming to Sergey Spivak at UFC Fight Night: Figueiredo vs. Benavidez II. Felipe hasn’t picked up a win in over three years, with that last victory coming over Francisco Sandro De Silva Bezerra in May of 2017. Felipe has picked up eight wins as a professional MMA fighter and six of them came by way of KO/TKO.

UFC Fight Night: Holm vs. Aldana is set for Saturday, October 3 from a location to be announced with Holly Holm and Irene Aldana headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
