Report: Brett Johns Signs With Bellator

Another big addition is making his way over to the Bellator roster as bantamweight fighter Brett Johns has reportedly inked a deal with the promotion.

Ariel Helwani of ESPN first reported the news. Johns (17-2-0) is coming off of a three-plus-year run with the UFC, where the fighter earned a 5-2-0 record. Those wins are over Kwan Ho Kwak, Albert Morales, Joe Soto, Tony Gravely and Montel Jackson. Johns does leave the UFC on a two-fight winning streak and he has not suffered a defeat since August 2018. Johns is also a former Cage Warriors and Titan FC bantamweight champion, defeating Jordan Desborough and Anthony Gutierrez to win both belts. Johns has competed 19 times as a professional MMA fighter and 11 of those bouts went the distance.

There is no word at this time as to when Johns will make his promotional debut or whom that bout will come against.
