Report: Brandon Moreno Faces Alex Perez At UFC 255
A flyweight division attraction has been added to the upcoming UFC 255 card as #2 Brandon Moreno faces #4 Alex Perez.
Carlos Contreras Legaspi of Milenio first reported the bout, whose spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Moreno (17-5-1) has won five of eight under the UFC banner, with those victories coming over Louis Smolka, Ryan Benoit, Dustin Ortiz, Kai Kara France and Jussier Formiga. Moreno has previously headlined one UFC card, which was a unanimous decision loss to Sergio Pettis at UFC Fight Night Mexico City. Moreno is also a former LFA Flyweight Champion, defeating Maikel Perez by fourth round TKO at LFA 69 to claim the gold.
Perez (24-5-0) enters the contest riding a three fight winning streak, with those wins coming over Mark De La Rosa, Jordan Espinosa and the aforementioned Formiga. Perez has suffered a total of three losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came to a combo of UFC and/or Bellator veterans. Perez is undefeated when competing on UFC pay-per-view events, picking up wins at UFC 227 and UFC 250.
UFC 255 takes place on Saturday, November 21 from a location to be announced with Deiveson Figueiredo and Cody Garbrandt headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
